(2S,4R)-Teneligliptin is a selective inhibitor of dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP-4). (2S,4R)-Teneligliptin increases the plasma concentration of active glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), which promotes insulin secretion in response to elevated blood glucose levels, exerting hypoglycemic activity.
